Editor at J2B Publishing
James Burd Brewster is the author of the successful Glad To Do It! series of picture books (GladToDoIt.net) and is the president of J2B Publishing (J2BLLC.com), an indie press dedicated to publishing “Enjoyable Poetry” and “Good Books for Young Boys and Girls.” The Glad To Do It! picture books began in 1990 as bedtime stories for Ben and Luke, his first two boys. Each night Uncle Rocky (fire fighter) and the two boys put out fires, rescued people, or helped their neighbors. In 1998, James committed the stories to paper. In 2014, he published the first four Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories as 32 page picture books. Today there are 14 books in the Glad To Do It! series that now honor police officers and EMTs as well as fire fighters.
J2B Publishing’s picture book catalogue includes the Chesapeake Bay Adventures series by Cindy Freeland, Heroes of the Coast Guard series by James Burd Brewster, and Feast of Memories and Aunt Louise Comes to Visit by Katie Spivey Brewster. Their poetry catalogue features Jim McDonald – the Houseboat Poet and Rebecca Smith of Wilmington, NC.
